I’m looking at these and thinking “day-yum, these are mostly nicer than the dorm rooms I had in University!!” and then I got to thinking … which type of jail would reduce recidivism in criminals? I mean, seriously? They get in trouble and go to jail and they get either these nice cushy places, or the nasty dark ones with no privacy and group showers when you have to be careful about passing the soap … when they get out, after which experience are they going to be more likely to want to avoid being caught causing trouble again (i.e., maybe wise up and stop breaking the law, or at least get smarter about it and get someone else to do the dirty work and keep their own hands clean, you know?)? Seems to me, at least, that I personally would be thinking “hey, jail ain’t all that bad …” just a rambling thought brought on by too little sleep and weird meds …
