Abandoned Military Base from End of Soviet Era

The end of the Soviet era has left a number of signs and markers across Russia. These pictures are another one of those signs. What would have been a highly protected base, unknown to but a few, is now lying abandoned. Earlier, only individuals with high security clearance would have been able to lay their eye on it, now it is free for all to see. Just take a look at these pictures to see what has come of the highly secured bases of the Soviet era.

You see a base that would have been a hub of activity when it was being used. There are a number of exits and entrances, perhaps for cargo, goods or people of different clearance levels. Now they are all but fully rusted. Where there was camouflage paint, there are now stains of rust instead. We even see an abandoned canvas bag that a soldier perhaps left behind.
