Top 10 Epic Xmas light shows

Every year the houses in my neighbourhood seem to get more illuminated when it comes round to Christmas time! the effort that people are prepared to go to always amazes me, as does their financial ability to pay for the power that it must take to light those lights! Love them or loathe them, you can’t help but stop[ and stare at these Christmas home illuminations, and here we’ve collected some of the best images of Christymas light shows in the world!

I’ve seen a few houses with bright lights back home but this takes the biscuit! This house from San Mateo County in America reminds me of some holiday lodges  I’ve seen in the past but the degree to which this one is lit up is just incredible!

We think this place is incredible! There are so many lights on this property that it is almost impossible to see the house! If you headed out on touring holidays for the rest of your life looking for the most amply lit house, you would struggle to see a more impressive site than this!

Incredibly, this house uses an extra £500 of electricity in a three week Christmas period, and the residents of the house are unable to boil a kettle while the lights are switched on!

World Scariest Murder and Horor Campsites

If your anything like myself, when you go on holiday you like it to be exciting! To hell with Ibiza and Benidorm to lay on a beach for 8 hours a day and doing not much else. I like to immerse myself in the culture and the history. So this year, for my annual holiday, I have decided to go camping abroad. But I’m not just gong to the usual places…oh no, I am visiting a few particularly spooky hot spots. It all started when I searched the web for a Camping in France guide. Whilst doing my research I came across loads of spooky Chateau’s to visit nearby some equally spooky campsites. So now I am going on my very own spooky travels around France this year and I am so excited about the prospect! France is full of spooky places to go, like the Catacombs or even the World famous Pere Lachaise Cemetery (and my two favourite words seem to be haunted and horror!)

Being an avid Horror Movie fan and an amateur ghost hunter, researching scary campsites is right up my street. What better way to visit lots of creepy places around the World. Camping is relatively cheap and it’s so easy to up sticks to move on to the next place. Whilst researching, I found loads of scary campsites around the world (I know not everyone is obsessed with France as me but I haven’t been on the Eurotunnel yet) and so I have decided to share them so you can plan your own spooky travels.

So if you are looking for a bit of a scare, why not visit some of these campsites…

Cuxhaven, Germany

Machulez Campsite, Cuxhaven

A man was arrested after two women’s bodies were found with multiple stab wounds, he was believed to have been in a relationship with one of the girl’s murdered. What a lovely place to stay!

Fernwood Campground – Big Sur, California

scary horror campsites 6What a lovely peaceful campsite…well think again, this campsite is supposedly haunted by the ghost of an Indian. Which is not really surprising as the campground was originally considered sacred by the Esalen Indians, which is normally code for an Indian Burial ground!!

Elms Caravan Park, Loughton

scary horror campsites 8Looks like the perfect family caravan park, but by nightfall everything gets spooky. The ghost of Dick Turpin haunts the part of epping forest close to this caravan park. He was hung in the forest for his crimes in 1739 and there have been spooky noises and sightings there ever since. Even Derek Acorah managed to contact the spirit of Dick Turpin through his spirit guide Sam on the TV show “Most Haunted”, while on a live investigation with the famous screaming lady Yvette Fielding, for Living TV.

Darksyde Acres Haunted Campground, Jonesville, Michigan

scary horror campsites 9Even though this is a man made Haunted mansion the campground close to this attraction is supposedly haunted for real. With visitors to this campsite hearing footsteps and slamming doors, but also seeing strange shadows and ghostly figures around the grounds over the years.
Well either way it looks like a good place to go for a scare or two…

And saving the best till last…not really a campsite as such but people do camp there.
Just sometimes forever!

scary horror campsites 11Well maybe not!! Supposedly the suicide capital of the World, this forest is extremely creepy and people who venture in to take a peek sometimes don’t come back either! Can you imagine how many restless souls are just wondering about these woods, hundreds if not thousands of people have ended their lives here. The authorities just leave them to rot, but they do place a plastic tape around the scene, just so no one goes for a closer look…like that stops them!

Enter to Google Science Fair Competition

Are you an ingenious scientist and want to prove yourself by the dint of your creation? If yes then you must enter into the Google Global science fair 2011 which is designed exclusively to encourage fervent scientists like you. Google is looking for young scientists who are ready to come with some creative and interesting project on any topic of the today world. It is a healthy competition for which a student of aged 13 to 18 can apply. The good thing is that you can also enter into this competition if you are working with a team of two or three.

Google Science Fair
It is really simple to enter into this competition. You must have a Google account if you haven’t then just make one. After singing in to your Google account you need to complete the Google Science fair sing up form. Once you submit the application, you will an important link on the confirmation page. You need to use this link for providing the complete detail about your creative science project. Consent from your parents or guardian is required to continue with and for this an e-mail will be sent to your guardian or parents. You can make a presentation video of two minutes or more for describing your project in detail. If you do not understand anything then for your help detail instructions are available. You need to fill your application in English. You can submit your application till 4 April 2011.


All application from the world will be reviewed by Judges – the information of which is available on the official site of Google Global Science Fair 2011. You can also get the information about judging criteria of this competition from the site. After reviewing the application of all students, in the beginning sixty semi finalists will be selected. The projects of these semi finalists will be posted on line so that everyone can check these projects and can vote for the best. From the 60 semi-finalist 15 finalists will be extracted by judges by strictly reviewing their project and the finalist will be announced in May.
The 15 Global finalist of this event will be moved to Google Headquarter in USA where they will take part in the celebratory Science Fair event. All finalists will present their project in front of a panel of acclaimed scientists. There are three age categories i.e.13-14; 15-16, 17-18 so one finalist will be selected from each of these. Finally one finalist will be awarded with grand prize.
It will surely a great event the aim of which is to encourage the youngest talent in the best manner possible. If you find yourself competent and perfect for this competition then you must take part in it. May be you will be the finalist of Google Global Science Fair 2011. Drawbacks to TBS Very Funny Texas Hold’em Flash Poker

There are a few slightly annoying aspects of the game; in between each hand a big TBS Very Funny logo fills the screen, and players an irritating habit of saying “I call (X amount)…and raise…(X amount), despite the fact that this is illegal in most poker play (announcing an intention to call precludes your ability to raise, you must say “I raise” or “I call” but not both). But all in all for a Flash game this is a pretty good Texas hold’em simulation.
