Spaceport Test Building

The pictures are of the Integration and Test Building of the spaceport. On the 12^th of May, 2002, the roof collapsed and 8 people lost their lives. The large structures are built from steel and any minor mistake can lead to disastrous results. As everything is heavy in the area, no work can happen without the help of cranes that you can see in the pictures.

The building is quite imposing and the building has over 112 floors. You will also see the rocket that was being built here called Energia. These pictures were taken during a photo tour and show the place from different angles. You will see the rocket being transported as well. One of the pictures also gives you a peek inside the rocket, which doesn’t happen very often. The testing site is spread over a large area and it is surprising to see a dog on the site in one of the pictures.
