Ostrich rodeo: Hop on board

Welcome to this year’s rodeo! Competitors will have a very easy task to do. First up, find an ostrich. Once you have located your target make sure to grab it. Thing is its legs will be very easy, because it has only two instead of four. The final challenge, ride your ostrich.

The beast can be easily detained if you know how to work with it. However it kind of makes you wonder, what type of cart would you need, and could you use a dog trainer to coach the ostrich into getting better performance?

After you managed to do figure that one out, just set to the start line and win the race.

Many of the defeated ostriches shove their heads into the sand full of shame.

However, with a small brain it is rather hard to tell the difference between sand and the hard race ground.

Have you ever thought about riding birds? You may be surprised to find that your dream can in fact become a reality! Well, in this case, we are not talking about riding on top of the bird and flying high into the sky like characters in fantasy fiction. But, before you get disappointed, just take a look at the pictures below and you will find something extremely exciting.

What we are talking about is the Ostrich Festival that is held in Arizona every year. In it, you will see people riding ostriches, the biggest birds, in much the same way that people ride horses. In fact, these riders race the ostriches in the same way that jockeys race horses. But, that’s not all, the ostriches also tug along wagons or carts that are tied behind them, just like horses. Are ostriches becoming the horses of the bird kingdom?

Tightrope walking on a gigantic knife

Tight rope walking has been a game of skill and balance that many people have mastered since it was first introduced into the world. Tightrope walking usually involves skilled people walking a thin rope which is placed at a great height. Tightrope walkers sometimes use poles to help in balancing. However, in these pictures you get to see a Chinese man walking on what looks like a gigantic knife. While this takes much more skill in terms of controlling your balance, this man seems to be having a ball doing it.

The surface is not a steady surface because he has to walk up and down the knife structure. In addition to this he performs stunts like standing on his head while balancing himself on the knife. It must have taken him quite a bit to practice and excel at the feat. Audiences love dramatic artists like this and a huge applause was definitely in store for him after his performance.
