These Landscapes Are Both Beautiful And Delicious

Landscape comprises the visible features of a vast area of land, including all of the physical elements of land forms such as (ice-capped) mountains, hills, water bodies such as rivers, lakes, ponds and the sea, living elements of land cover including indigenous vegetation, human elements including different forms of land use, buildings and structures, and transitory elements such as lighting and weather conditions.

Combining both their physical origins and the cultural overlay of human presence, often created over millennia, landscapes reflect the living synthesis of people and place vital to local and national identity.

Landscapes, their character and quality, help define the self-image of a region, its sense of place that differentiates it from other regions. It is the dynamic backdrop to people’s lives.

The Earth has a vast range of landscapes including the icy landscapes of Polar Regions, mountainous landscapes, vast arid desert landscapes, islands and coastal landscapes, densely forested or wooded landscapes including past boreal forests and tropical rainforests, and agricultural landscapes of temperate and tropical regions.

Landscape may be further reviewed under the following specific categories: landscape art, cultural landscape, landscape ecology, landscape planning, landscape assessment and landscape design.

The activity that modifies the visible features of an area of land is named Landscaping.

This Is What Happens When A Woodpecker Decorates Your House

The woodpeckers, piculets, wrynecks, and sapsuckers are a family, Picidae, of near-passerine birds. Members of this family can be found worldwide, except for Australia, New Guinea, New Zealand, Madagascar, and the extreme Polar Regions.

Most species live in forests or woodland ecosystems, although a few species are known to live in treeless areas, such as rocky hillsides and deserts.

The Picidae are just one of the eight living families in the order Piciformes. Members of the order Piciformes, such as the jacamars, puffbirds, barbets, toucans, and honeyguides, have traditionally been thought to be very closely related to the woodpeckers, piculets, wrynecks, and sapsuckers. More recently, DNA sequence analyses have confirmed this view.

There are about 200 species and about 30 genera in this family. Many species are threatened or endangered due to loss of habitat or habitat fragmentation. Two species of woodpeckers, the Ivory-billed Woodpeckerand the Imperial Woodpecker, have been considered extinct for about 30 years.

The woodpeckers range from highly antisocial solitary species that are aggressive toward other members of their species, to species that live in groups. Group-living species tend to be communal group breeders. In addition to these species, a number of species may join mixed-species feeding flocks with other insectivorous birds, although they tend to stay at the edges of these groups.

Joining these flocks allows woodpeckers to decrease anti-predator vigilance and increase their feeding rate. Woodpeckers are diurnal, roosting at night inside holes. In most species the roost will become the nest during the breeding season.

This Was The Most Awesome Pancake Ever

A pancake is a flat cake, most of time pancake is thin and round. Pancake are prepared from a starch-based batter and cooked on a hot surface such as a griddle or a frying pan. In UK, pancakes are often unleavened, and resemble a crêpe. In America, a raising agent is used; the most common raising agent is baking powder.

The American pancake is similar to a Scotch pancake or drop scone. They may be served at any time with a variety of toppings or fillings including jam, fruit, syrup, chocolate chips, or meat.

In America, pancakes are typically considered to be a breakfast food. In Britain and the Commonwealth, they are associated with Shrove Tuesday, commonly known as Pancake Day, when perishable ingredients had to be used up before the fasting period of Lent began.

Archaeological evidence suggests that pancakes are probably the earliest and most widespread cereal food eaten in prehistoric societies. The pancake’s shape and structure varies worldwide. A crêpe is a thin Breton pancake cooked on one or both sides in a special pan or crepe maker to achieve a lacelike network of fine bubbles.

A well-known variation originating in Southeast Europe is Palacinke, a thin moist pancake fried on both sides and filled with jam, cheese cream, chocolate, or ground walnuts, but many other fillings, both sweet and savory, can also be used.

19-Year-Old Girl Who Is Addicted To Ketchup

Ketchup, which is also called catsup, is a table sauce, traditionally of various flavors, notably mushroom, oyster and walnut, but in modern times the term without modification usually means tomato ketchup, sometimes called tomato sauce, or red sauce.

It is a sweet and tangy sauce, typically made from tomatoes, vinegar, a sweetener, and assorted seasonings and spices.

The sweetener is most commonly sugar or high fructose corn syrup. Seasonings vary from recipe to recipe, but commonly include onions, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, garlic, and celery.

Tomato ketchup is often used as a condiment with various dishes that are usually served hot, including french fries, hamburgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, eggs, and grilled or fried meat. Ketchup is sometimes used as a basis or ingredient for other sauces and dressings. Mushroom ketchup is widely available in the UK.

In the 17th century the Chinese mixed a concoction of pickled fish and spices and called it kôe-chiap or kê-chiap meaning the brine of pickled fish or shellfish.

By the early 18th century, the table sauce had made it to the Malay states where it was discovered by English explorers. The Indonesian-Malay word for the sauce was kecap (pronounced “kay-chap”). That word evolved into the English word “ketchup”. English settlers took ketchup with them to the American colonies.

Vending Machine That Dispenses Burritos

A burrito, also known as a taco de harina, is a type of Mexican-American food. It consists of a wheat flour tortilla wrapped or folded into a cylindrical shape to completely enclose the filling. The flour tortilla is usually lightly grilled, to soften it and make it more pliable. In Mexico, meat and refried beans are sometimes the only fillings.

In the US, burrito fillings generally include a combination of ingredients such as Mexican-style rice or plain rice, refried beans or beans, lettuce, salsa, meat, guacamole, cheese, and sour cream, and the size varies. Typically, American-style burritos are stuffed with more ingredients than the primary meat and/or vegetable filling.

The word burrito can be translated to “little donkey” in Spanish, as a diminutive form of burro, or “donkey”. The name burrito as applied to the food item possibly derives from the appearance of bedrolls and packs that donkeys carried.

Before the development of the modern burrito, the Mesoamerican peoples of Mexico used tortillas to wrap foods, with fillings of chili peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, squash, and avocados. The Pueblo people of the Southwestern United States also made tortillas with beans and meat sauce fillings prepared much like the modern burrito.

The precise origin of the modern burrito is not known. It may have originated with vaqueros in northern Mexico in the nineteenth century; farm workers in the fields of California’s Central Valley, in Fresno and Stockton; or with northern Sonoran miners of the 19th century.

Colorful Corn That Is Eatable

Maize also called corn in some countries, is a large grain plant domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The leafy stalk produces ears which contain the grain, which are seeds called kernels. Maize kernels are used in cooking as a starch.

The Olmec and Mayans cultivated it in numerous varieties throughout Mesoamerica, cooked, ground or processed through nixtamalization. Beginning about 2500 BC, the crop spread through much of the Americas. The region developed a trade network based on surplus and varieties of maize crops. After European contact with the Americas in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, explorers and traders carried maize back to Europe and introduced it to other countries.

Maize spread to the rest of the world because of its ability to grow in diverse climates. Sugar-rich varieties called sweet corn are usually grown for human consumption, while field corn varieties are used for animal feed and as chemical feedstocks.

Maize is the most widely grown grain crop throughout the Americas, with 332 million metric tons grown annually in the United States alone. Approximately 40% of the crop — 130 million tons — is used for corn ethanol. Genetically modified maize made up 85% of the maize planted in the United States in 2009.

Road With A Carpet Of Red Peppers

The cayenne pepper—also known as the Guinea spice, cow-horn pepper, aleva, bird pepper, or, especially in its powdered form, red pepper—is a hotchili pepper used to flavor dishes. It remains green on the plant even when mature, once picked may or may not turn red which is when it is normally eaten, but also eaten while still green. It is a cultivar of Capsicum annuum related to bell peppers, jalapeños, paprika and others. The Capsicum genus is in the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

It is named for the city of Cayenne in French Guiana.

The fruits are generally dried and ground, or pulped and baked into cakes, which are then ground and sifted to make the powdered spice of the same name.

Cayenne is used in cooking spicy dishes, as a powder or in its whole form, or in a thin, vinegar-based sauce. It is generally rated at 30,000 to 50,000 Scoville units. It is also used as an herbal supplement, and was mentioned by Nicholas Culpeper in his Complete Herbal, 1653, as “guinea pepper” a misnomer for “guiana pepper”.

Most cultivated varieties of cayenne, Capsicum annuum, can be grown in a variety of locations and need approximately 100 days to mature. Peppers prefer warm, moist, nutrient-rich soil in a warm climate. The plants grow to about 0.6–1 m in height and should be spaced 1 m apart.

Very Delicious Grumpy Cat Cake Pops

Grumpy Cat (born April 4, 2012), real name Tardar Sauce, is a female cat and a huge Internet celebrity known for her grumpy facial expression. Her owner Tabatha Bundesen says that her permanently grumpy-looking face is due to feline dwarfism. Grumpy Cat’s popularity originated from a picture posted to the website Reddit by Bundesen’s brother Bryan on September 22, 2012. It was made into an image macro with grumpy captions. “The Official Grumpy Cat” on Facebook has over 1.3 million Likes. Grumpy Cat was featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal on May 30, 2013.

The Bundesens say that Tardar Sauce’s face appears grumpy because of feline dwarfism and an under bite. She and her brother Pokey were born to normal parents with “a flat face, bubble eyes, and a short tail”.  Tardar Sauce is undersized and has hind legs that “are a bit different”. Ironically, Tardar Sauce is calm and “actually really nice,” whereas Pokey has a grumpy personality.

According to the Bundesens, Tardar Sauce is a normal cat “99% of the time”. Photo sessions are only once a week, and handling by strangers is limited.  At SXSW Tardar Sauce made limited two-hour appearances each day as Grumpy Cat.

Spaghetti Ice Cream That Looks Very Delicious

Spaghetti is a long, thin, cylindrical pasta of Italian and Sicilian origin. Spaghetti is made of semolina or flour and water. Italian dried spaghetti is made from durum wheat semolina, but outside of Italy and Sicily it may be made with other kinds of flour.

Traditionally, most spaghetti was 50 cm long, but shorter lengths gained in popularity during the latter half of the 20th century and now spaghetti is most commonly available in 25–30 cm lengths. A variety of pasta dishes are based on it, from spaghetti allaCarbonara or garlic and oil to a spaghetti with tomato sauce, meat and other sauces.

Spaghetti is the plural form of the Italian word spaghetto, which is a diminutive of spago, meaning “thin string” or “twine”.

Pasta in the West may first have been worked to long, thin forms in Sicilyaround the 12th century, as the Tabula Rogeriana of Muhammad al-Idrisiattested, reporting some traditions about the Sicilian kingdom. The popularity of pasta spread to the whole of Italy after the establishment of pasta factories in the 19th century, enabling the mass production of pasta for the Italian market.

Very Delicious Flowers Made From Meat

Meat is animal flesh that is eaten as food. Humans are omnivorous, and have hunted and killed animals for meat since prehistoric times. The advent of civilization allowed the domestication of many animals some of them are chickens, sheep, pigs and cattle

Meat is mainly composed of water and protein, and is usually eaten together with other food. It is edible raw, but is normally eaten after it has been cooked and seasoned or processed in a variety of ways (e.g., curing or smoking). Unprocessed meat will spoil within hours or days. Spoilage is caused by the practically unavoidable infection and subsequent decomposition of meat by bacteria and fungi, which are borne by the animal itself, by the people handling the meat, and by their implements.

Meat consumption varies worldwide, depending on cultural or religious preferences, as well as economic conditions. Vegetarians choose not to eat meat because of ethical, economic, environmental, religious or health concerns that are associated with meat production and consumption.

Most often, “meat” refers to skeletal muscle and associated fat and other tissues, but it may also describe other edible tissues such as offal. Conversely, “meat” is sometimes also used in a more restrictive sense – the flesh of mammalian species (pigs, cattle, lambs, etc.) raised and prepared for human consumption, to the exclusion of fish and other seafood, poultry, and other animals.
