The Best Celebrity Lego

Lego was one of my favourite toys growing up and I still believe it really is one of the best forms of entertainment a parent can invest in for their own children. Girls and boys alike play with Lego and unlike other toys which kids grow out of pretty quickly depending on the latest trends (does anyone remember yo yo’s, tamagochi’s, pogs, marbles – all of which have come and gone in a flash). The art of Lego seems to have stood the test of time. Even with all our modern 21st century gadgets kids have at their disposal such as game consoles, laptops and smart phones, you can still almost guarantee that a Lego set lurks somewhere in every house. Now that’s quite something.

But Lego have ensured that they constantly engage their audience. When I was younger I remember building simple police stations and fire houses but nowadays they evolve their Lego to include the likes of Harry Potter and the gang of Hogwarts for children to play with. And if that’s not enough children can also visit LegoLand to see amazing life sized Lego creations. No wonder they have stayed in favour with today’s generation. So that’s why they deserve to have some of their best creations of today showcased.

Mario Lego creation

Mario is a fictional video game character and is probably one of the most famous video games that was played by everybody regardless of age. Mario was designed by Shigeru Miyamoto and was published and developed by Nintendo in 1983. Since its creation, the fictional character Mario has been in more than 200 video games. He is shown as a shot Italian plumber who lives in a mushroom kingdom.

In the original game series, he overcomes stages and hurdles while collecting coins and extra lives on the way to save the Princess Peach who is kidnapped by a ferocious dragon. Mario has come to become one of the most famous video game characters in video game history. Mario is also the mascot of Nintendo games. Since the video game, the character has been used in various t shows, comics, films and merchandises because of his humungous popularity.

The LEGO Star Wars Droid Control Ship

The Trade Federation Droid Control Ship appeared in Episode one of Star Wars. This battleship was the most important one in the Trade Federation blockade. This ship was the mothership and the entire Droid army was controlled by it. The Droid Control Ship gave out commands and signals to the entire Droid army and this vulnerability ultimately lead to the collapse of the Trade Federation military when the ship’s unprotected reactor was destroyed.

The ship is said to be 3.17 kilometers in diameter in the film. Major parts of the Droid Control Ship were built as sets for shooting. However, many shots of the ship was built as a miniature and shot as a model at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). Many Star Wars geeks have gained a lot of inspiration from the Droid Control Ship and several attempts have been made to reconstruct the ship using LEGO construction toys.

LEGO Avatar Helicopter

These pictures of Avatar Lego Helicopter look awesome. They provide a view of this modle from every angle. Don’t be surprised if the modle becomes as big a hit as the Avatar movie. Made in white and black it has the look of an Wacky electronic gadget. The video gives an operational demo which shows that both the door for the cockpit can be opened by pulling small red levers provided just above the doors. The door for the passenger seats can be opened by pressing a button below the door.

The modle is battery operated. There are two fans on either side of the chopper, that start rotating once the modle is switched on. There’s a red lever provided on top of the helicopter which can be used for tilting or changing the face of one or both the fans. As the pictures suggest, the avatar LEGO is indeed an interesting tech toy. However, it would have been fantastic if this chopper could actually take-off!!

Lego Brickworld The Way To Go

Everybody will have played with lego blocks as kids and loved the things you could build, destroy and build again. Lego blocks are no longer the same boring multi colored things; you will find new versions where you can build almost anything from Taj Mahal to transformer like machines. From small trains to life sizes constructions, this is a great way to spend a weekend. If you get real good at it, you could also go for lego constructing competitions.

In one of the pictures, you will see that with the lego blocks, you can even get the reflection of Taj Mahal done. The sky scrapers look quite real complete with glass windows. The air craft bases are also fun to do and its not just children who love construction, there are a great number of adults obsessed with the hobby as well.
